Good Morning.  In honor of my favorite holiday, I thought the prompt would be about my favorite thing--dinner.  I thought we would write long about the following.  Everyone has a good story that revolves around food!

Write about a memorable meal, a disastrous dish or just a favorite food.

Once you are done typing your poem from your notebook follow these directions and links:

Title the first typed draft of your poem your name OG --Angie OG

Each time you conduct an experiment, make a copy of your original and name it Angie OG 2 exp #A

Next will be Angie OG 3 exp # D ...

By the end you will have a minimum of 8 experiments and therefore 9 drafts of your poem.
A final draft will take the best pieces of each. I would expect that the 9th draft will be the closest to
the final you will get as you will probably keep the pieces you want each time.

• “Um, I’m really sorry about your house,” she said, trying to put it back together. “I didn’t know you lived there. I was just trying to find . . .”

• Purple and black smoke curled up into the air. The witches looked like three tall, crooked, dancing trees. “You are too good, little girl,” they sneered. “You are afraid of us. But, truly, you are afraid of yourself. You are one of us.” She started to run, when suddenly . . .

• He looked back and saw his footprints, shiny and clear on the dark floor. What is that? he thought, reaching down to touch the bottom of his shoe. Blood. “Oh my god.”

• She woke up suddenly, sure she had just heard someone screaming. As she opened her eyes, she saw Earth, like a small blue marble outside the window. Then she heard someone—no, something—trying to come into her room.

• “Whoa!” he shouted. “Did you just see that?!”“Yeah,” she said. “Have you always been able to do that?” “I don’t know,” he replied. “I think it started when . . .”

• “You are not going without me.”

• It came in the mail.

Legend has it that Ernest Hemingway was once challenged to write a story in only six words. His response? “For sale: baby shoes, never worn.” In November 2006, Larry Smith,founder of SMITH Magazine, gave the six-word novel a personal twist by asking his community to describe their lives in exactly six words.

They sent in short life stories in droves, from the bittersweet (“Cursed with cancer, blessed with friends”) and poignant (“I still make coffee for two”) to the inspirational (“From migrant worker to NASA astronaut”). and hilarious (“Married by Elvis, divorced by Friday”). And the Six-Word Memoir project was born.
