Half the period today is devoted to drafting a piece, the next half is devoted to workshopping pieces no matter what state they are in--the goal is final draft (and rough drafts)in my hand on Friday.

Monday June 4

Good morning,

 There is an 8^th grade science test this morning.  You will move to the computer lab.  Your goal for today is to read through your 10 pieces you have written in your writer’s notebook and choose a piece you started and to begin drafting that into something you want to bring to a final draft.  We will begin to workshop pieces as soon as you are ready for us.  I will grade notebooks tomorrow. Final drafts typewritten are due Friday.

Monday—Rough draft work

Tuesday—1/2 period rough draft, ½ period workshop

Wednesday—workshop

Thursday—type final drafts

Friday turn in all pieces of paper including final draft AND share!
